Data Federal Corporation, a consulting and professional services firm that delivers high-quality enterprise solutions in software development, systems integration, advisory and assistance services, and program and acquisition support, is currently seeking an experienced UI designer to enhance the web presence of a major federal government agency.
Description:
Our ideal candidate will work with the creative team to provide the U.S. government customer with web enhancements and additional capabilities, driven by customer requirements. From wireframing and mockups through working with developers, the candidate will be involved throughout the website development process. 
Project requirements include:
●	Participate in creating a content development strategy
●	Work with the Creative Director to develop concepts that simplify and enhance the user experience
●	Work closely with senior UX designer to interpret overall layout
●	Create interactive features using Adobe XD, Illustrator, and InDesign
●	Perform revisions based on user testing results, management feedback, and other considerations as needed
●	Research industry best practices and citizen needs for web interfaces, apps, design standards, and related
●	Participate in creating a content development strategy
●	Other design-related tasks as needed to fulfill the agency’s mission
A successful candidate will possess:
●	8+ years of general graphic design experience
●	5+ years of experience working on UI in a business, government, or similar environment, as well as a portfolio highlighting your success
●	Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to clients 
●	Experience working alongside UX designers and front/back-end developers
●	Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
●	Ability to mentor junior staff
●	Proficiency with the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud (including Adobe XD)
●	A positive attitude
●	Health care industry experience a plus

UX Designer Description:
Our ideal candidate will work with the creative team and members of the U.S. government to provide the U.S. government customer with strategies, techniques, and samples for improving web presence and website usability, driven by customer requirements. From wireframing and mockups through working with developers, the candidate will be involved throughout the website development and user journey processes. This position is primarily front-end creative and includes collaboration with front-end developers; coding and development will be be primary responsibility.
Project requirements include:
●	Research and communicate best practices for user experience and development
●	Serve as senior user experience expert on new and existing projects, collaborating with staff to find best-possible solutions for a variety of challenges
●	Recommend strategies for integrating technology solutions into creative applications (e.g. interactive data visualization, ADA section 508 compliance)
●	Participate in creating a content development strategy
●	Work with the Creative Director to develop concepts that simplify and enhance the user experience
●	Work closely with UI designer to ensure interface and accessibility issues are identified and addressed before they reach a production environment
●	Create wireframes and samples using Adobe XD, Illustrator, and InDesign
●	Perform revisions based on user testing results, management feedback, and other considerations as needed
●	Research industry best practices and citizen needs for web interfaces, apps, design standards, and related
●	Participate in developing a user experience strategy
●	Other design-related tasks as needed to fulfill the agency’s mission

Qualifications
