Job Title: 

Adminstrative Assistant - Seattle


This position serves as the main point of contact (POC) for the office. The Administrative Assistant (AA) works at the front desk, greeting clients and visitors as well as answering incoming calls. Incumbent will gather, manage, and disseminate information in order to keep all office employees informed and up-to-date. This position performs standard office tasks, such as: filing; maintaining records; copying documents; scheduling appointments; receiving incoming mail; applying postage to outbound mail; and, processing UPS (United Parcel Service) packages. The AA maintains the daily operation of the office, ensuring all administrative and mail requirements are met. The AA also collects, sorts, and distributes the mail in accordance with established procedures and applicable Federal postal regulations. The AA collects and prepares mail to be sent to other Field offices.

This position is located at 700 Stewart Street in a federal government building in downtown Seattle.


Skill set required:

Exhibits excellent customer service skills and has the ability to handle multiple phone lines at once; strong knowledge of current Federal postal codes, procedures and regulations; excellent organizational and management skills; excellent interpersonal skills, as well as detail oriented; has the ability to perform conventional and complex problems under pressure; excellent communication and telephone etiquettes; self-motivated, confident, energetic, and flexible. Excellent customer service skills required.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Candidates must be able to pass a background check and be eligible to work at a federal government facility.
