Mail and Conference Room Service Associate


The Mail and Conference Room Service Associate supports all Mail Center and conference room activities for multiple buildings within a one-block radius. In regards to Mail Center activities, the Mail and Conference Room Service Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, delivering, collecting, applying postage, and generally overseeing all mail/packages. The Mail and Conference Room Service Associate is also responsible for identifying and altering the appropriate authorities to suspicious mail/packages or sensitive information transmitted through mail. At times, the Mail and Conference Room Service Associate will also be required to deliver and disperse reams of printer and copier paper with and without the assistance of a cart. The conference room element of this position requires inspecting, posting schedules, servicing, supplying, and cleaning approximately 35 conference rooms in multiple buildings with the potential to inventory, monitor, and disperse related supplies (markers, erasers, batteries, chairs, etc) but not service IT equipment associated with conference rooms. In addition, the Mail and Conference Room Services Associate may provide cover to reception or labor services when necessary.


Sort, count, track, meter, deliver, and collect mail and express mail; ordering mail and related supplies
Adhere to Safe Mail Handling Protocols, including Suspicious Package Procedures
Distribute daily newspapers; responds to customer requests in a courteous manner
Records and reports equipment-related problems and their resolutions
Clear disused items from conference room cabinets
Print and post schedules for each conference room
Inspect rooms daily for organization, supplies, and general functionality; stock and issue supplies
Provides backup support to reception (see job posting for reception to cross-reference)
Required Skills:
Able to lift and manipulate 40-70 pounds and walk 3-5 miles per day
1-3 years mailroom experience, specifically with sorting, tracking, and metering mail
Experience in office, conference center, and reception environments
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook; SharePoint experience or ability to learn new software and platforms
Multitasking, reliability, personable and friendly, responsive
Team-player; able to take direction, work independently, and prioritize tasks well
Candidate must be able pass a federal background investigation.
